From ReCode
2008-07-02: Rustin - OMG! OMG! OMG! This is BEAUTIFUL! I'm so happy! You did a great job. This is worlds better.
2008-07-03: Bob - Thanks Rustin!
Try to get recodeportland.org or like.
Too wordy!
Want to make it to look like a web page? Two options:
- Can make things look a lot "glossier", but this takes significant work;
- Can also have a html "splash page"/intro or glossy front page, that then links to wiki pages
Other issue: not so much the glossiness, but rather the actual layout. Where to go? What's the most useful thing to do? Make fewer places to choose from.
Want to have links to different orgs. But not just a row, actual descriptions (annotated links).
Clearer system/hierarchy of organization.
So: organization
Break down into actions
- Learn about how to do green stuff under current regs -- NO, we link to OSD's hotline, or contractors, etc.
- Take action to pressure reps for changes to regs
- Participate in organizing ReCode, designing & researching new regs, etc.
Updates? Sidebar?
Main page links to wiki:
- who we are;
- where we're going;
- what we're working on;
- what we're researching;
- what i can do to help;
- contributing money, resources, skills;
- links
pictures
For every major project, a subpage links to wiki pages:
- why,
- current regs,
- what's happened,
- what're we working on
